Steve's Story - TAG Founder
I served over a decade in the Army, including deployment to Timor-Leste. When I left, a "simple sprain" from a pack march turned out to be a full rupture of ligaments and tendons - misdiagnosed for eight years.
The DVA process that followed was hell. Years of appeals, red tape, and being treated like I was the problem. They even left me stranded in a wheelchair 60km from home after an appointment they organised.
That motivated me to learn the system inside out - not just to win my own claims, but to make sure other veterans never go through what I did.
Jonty's Story - TAG Founder
After five years in the RAAF, I discharged in 2021 and faced the DVAa process alone. It was confusing, frustrating, and I had no guidance. I even had to represent myself at the VRB just to challenge a decision.
That experience lit a fire in me - no veteran should have to fight this battle without someone in their corner.
